The unique tourist base "Shumak"is located in a picturesque and remote location at an altitude of 1560 m. above sea level, in the valley of the Shumak River, Eastern Sayan.
In conditions of complete remoteness from a civilization the camp has an improvement:

Between all buildings of the base "Shumak" there are wooden footpaths, raised above the ground and roots of trees. The territory of the tourist centre blends harmoniously into surrounding mountain landscape and is "buried" in thickets of cowberry, raspberry, currant, honeysuckle, various mountain bushes and flowers. From the height of the flight, it seems as if someone has carefully scattered houses in the middle of the taiga.
